What is sausage gravy?
Sausage gravy is a milk-based gravy that includes breakfast sausage.
What's the difference between country gravy and sausage gravy?
Country gravy is very similar to sausage gravy as it’s also a milk-based gravy. The only difference is that country gravy dos does not include sausage.
Is sausage gravy gluten free?
Not necessarily. Most traditional gravies will use wheat flour to thicken the sauce. However, this recipe using Beth Blends Gluten Free Gravy Mix is not only gluten free but also grain free. Plus, we batch test our products to ensure that they are Gluten-Tox tested to ensure that it's between 10ppm to 5ppm level. The FDA requires 20ppm or under for gluten-free products.
What kind of sausage is best?
Traditionally, breakfast sausage is used in this recipe. However, bratwurst or Italian sausage would be a good substitute.

How to make gluten free sausage gravy
1. Place the sausage in a frying pan and break into little pieces, then brown the sausage over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Reduce the heat to medium.
2. Sprinkle the flour, salt and pepper to the pan then stir so that the sausage soaks it all up. Stir it around and cook it for another minute or so, then pour in the milk and chicken broth, stirring constantly.
3. Cook the gravy, stirring frequently, until it thickens about 10 to 12 minutes. Spoon the sausage gravy over warm biscuits and serve immediately!
